A LADY NOW AND THEN

Girls are now topping the examinations,
Girls are also at the top in scientific inventions.
Females are outshining their masculine counterpart,
In every activity whether it is acting, poem or art?
Even in the activities like wrestling, sports, mountaining and games of any kind,
though so far dominated by men , ladies are not lagging behind.
I applaud them; salute them at their valour, stamina and strength which they show
Their talents, success, achievements to which man today does vow
At olden days girls were not send to the schools but were put to many menial works, then nobody had voice to raise,
In most of the countries they were seemingly neglected and relegated to second place always.
They didn’t get power, position and competition as it is now
Hence their talents and ingenieuty they could not show,
A lady then looked after the house and treated her husband as her master and superior to her however inferior the husband may be,
Behind the peace, harmony and success of husband and family her hands, we see.
Look and muse at their service and sacrifice in a family and society,
They did their duties Instead of running after illusory laurels in false achievements, ego and vanity.
Can two talents vying to excel over each other
Remain under the same roof, sharing the same bed together?
As in the days of your the ladies sacrificed everything to enable the man to succeed for greater interest of human beings,
If I salute the ladies of today, I must lie at the feet of the ladies of yesterdays with gratitude, reverence as offerings.
