snaky, sneaky,
cunning, canny,
conniving, contriving,
artful, astute,
insidious, surreptitious,
sneaky, crafty,
subtle, tricky –
furtive fox can flummox!

What a clever little poem. I like your alliteration. I have never seen a sign like that. When my husband was alive he used to feed the fox that lived in the field. The neighbours who lost their chickens were not so pleased about it.

Yes it is so they farmers and hunters all say a fox is really so cunning I believe it. Have you read Reynard the Fox by John Masefield? My afrikaans grandfather was De Vos, dutch for "the fox".
