The Lateness

By Richard L. Provencher

Fri, 20 Dec 2013
  • 600 reads

of night does not prevent

a letter from reaching

its goal -- first

insert into a postal

box outlet,

sound of lifting its cover

overrides the squall

of a winter storm.

Secondly, in the morn

staff will co-operate

to sort then deliver

the news that

informs.
