This poem is written for our friend, Joe and his two sons. As we
get older we stretch towards a plateau of wonderful love and caring. All of
those seeds planted in younger years by those who cared for us begin to come
into fruition. And the moisture from our eyes nurtures them even more. That is
why we must look over our home photo pictures frequently, and pray for each
family member.
TO LOVE
your dad is a blessing
because each day is like
a leaf dropping
from your favourite tree
and each one carries
a hug you must give to
a person who loves
you so much –
and that person is
your dad.
