One Day

Spencer decided
to change the world.

He burped into
the mystery of life
growing swiftly to 20 lbs
by the time he turned
seven months

has his daddy’s eyes and
momma’s smile
wiggles and jiggles in crib
reaching out to anyone
nearby

allowing a shower of
kisses to descend.
