(A/N: Gasp! Kiss scene! You've been warned. And, five bucks to the
one who correctly IDs who this is about.)
My icy tears glisten in the same white moonlight
Which reflects off of your black-feathered wings.
You're heartbreakingly beautiful
More gorgeous than those blood-red roses you sent me last
Thursday.
(Yeah, there was no little gilded-edge card with the dozen
Yet your name seemed scribbled on each petal in gold ink.)
I've shed tears brethren to these in the months past
But these contain a nuance of joy.
You offered me what I desired most-
A dance of crimson lips under a soft moon glow?
And now you take to flight with black-feathered wings
As I've become stronger by refusing my desire of you;
By staying white in a lead-stained scene.
Or so my mind will tell me until I wake with the canary sun.
Until I'm forced to see that heartbreakingly beautiful face again.
