“Saber! Please wake up! Don’t leave us! We still need you!” Tamamo is crying on Saber’s chest while Zen is healing Saber’s wound. Saber has been stabbed on her chest, piercing her heart and almost ending her life. But, she is still alive and suffering major blood loss. Many of her friends, the other guardians stand around her. They want to help her but they are blocked by Zen, saying that it his responsibility to protect Saber and he cannot forgive himself if she dies as he has been given the oath to protect Saber from his creator, Mavis. Saber, on the other hand, is in her own world. The place where she is now, dark and empty. She actually accepts her fate, “I am going to die, am I?”
Saber wants to say something before she closes her eyes. “Tamamo…..” holding her hand, “Don’t be sad, even if I am not with you anymore, I am going to live in your heart forever.” Saying these words, Saber then falls into a deep sleep, just waiting for death to come to her. Zen, not giving up yet, still tries to revive her, but Tamamo stops him. “Please, I don’t want to see her suffer anymore, so please, just let her die peacefully.” Although it is hard, Zen finally complies with Tamamo’s words. Saber is lying there, on the ground, her face looks calm, and she seems to be smiling, a smile that makes Tamamo smile as well.
Saber in on her own now, in a world only she can see. She sees flashes of her past life, her present life and her friends. A door then opens in front of her, with bright lights coming out from it. She walks to the door, but before she can go to the other side of the door, a wisp flies in front of her. The wisp then transforms itself and it turns out to be her closest friend, Mavis, who is a fairy as well. “Saber, I am here to tell you that your friends still needs you. It is still too early for you to die. Go, go back to your friends.” Mavis then opens a portal and she pushes Saber into it.
Saber suddenly wakes up, back in the real world. She looks around, Tamamo starts to cry again. Saber stands up, checking her chest, nothing. The wound is already gone. She asks Zen about it, but he tells her that it is not his doing and the wound healed by itself. Saber whispers to herself, “it must be Mavis who have healed my wound. Thank you for giving me a second chance in life, Mavis.” Tamamo hugs Saber tightly, not wanting to let go of her dear servant, a fellow guardian, and more importantly, a dear friend. She pokes Saber’s face, “never do that to me ever again Saber, promise me!” Saber nods her head and tells Tamamo, “I am still here, and I will still be here. I will always be with you Tamamo.” She then whispers into Tamamo’s ear, “I love you.” Tamamo’s cheek goes to bright red in colour, smiling and whispering back to Saber, “I love you too.”
After that, all of them walk back to the village. Saber looks up at the sky, “thank you Mavis. Now I know that my friends still need me. I know you can hear me right, Mavis?” A wisp flies past her, and although she does not hear it, she can sense the wisp saying, “enjoy your life, Saber.”
