Open expanses that stretch out,
Reaching across time,
Any sense of now, about
To diminish, Perceptions are mine.
Deception brings frustration
Believing you can understand.
Bringing yourself to the situation.
Standing amongst tall grasses,
Stand tall and breathe in. Inhale.
What passes?
Other than time? I fail
To gather what is ahead,
Instead, I travel through my thoughts.
Unravelling possibilities. Carefully tread.
Sun light unfurls along calm waters,
Hitting rocks, creating sand,
And here we stand, sons and daughters,
Moments falling through your hand,
Less refined, hours we squander,
Ground bogs down then hardens,
We are bound to wander;
Wonder at the beauty, but find
Words do not explain,
And so in silence, our feet defined
The beat, the truth we gain.
Our existence, to be washed away,
Loosing grip,
Rain comes in across the way.

A wild scene you captured in
A wild scene you captured in words. I like this poem.
Jenny.
