On the Democratic Party today

The causation of the recent 'failure' of the Democratic Party is complex and multi-faceted. For the philosophical, there is much redemption. The ideas and principles aired during the campaigns of Senators Sanders and Clinton were noble and worthy... A majority of the people voted blue, and were it not for the complacency producing expectations of the media, Clinton's team would have worked harder and the result would likely have been different.
In modern America, politics is about stories and beliefs, myths and images: in short propaganda. Over the last couple decades, conservative powers have learned to utilize propaganda masterfully: winning elections and victories they never should have.
The science demonstrates, for example, that the economy actually consistently performs better under Democratic Presidents than Republican ones... but through effective propaganda conservatives have etched the opposite belief into much of the public.
In truth, propaganda already defines the struggle: Democrats need not restrain themselves for fear of being demagogues. From the staggering wealth inequality statistics, to the deliberate arrangement wherein Americans pay more for medicines than citizens of other nations, to various other subjects: it is clear that America has veered too far to the right for too long.
Most all we have to do to change this is to strive a little harder to get our ideas and ideals to the public in a compelling manner.
New ideas, alone, really can win elections, sway power etc.. but it takes courage to go against the grain. From Senator Sanders to Joe Kennedy iii to Nancy Pelosi, our party has talented leaders with plenty of courage, and the drive to find the right strategies, stories and ideas. Our civilized altruism and humanity shall not not shut down because of the shortcomings of a political organization...
We must fervently recognize the flaws and corruption that led to this down-fall while also recognizing that the ancient Democratic Party is too linked with our culture, ethics and traditions to be abandoned... Let the spirits of F.D.R. and Jack Kennedy be summoned... Let the party take energy and shape from the younger generation that so favors it. Let there be a time of contemplation and re-organization, even humility and bi-partisanship, but above all let there be preparation so that America's oldest political party might also have its brightest future!
