Take Me For Who I Am.

If you can't take me seriously or look me in the eye,
If you can't bear to be seen with me then I should probably say
goodbye,
You can mock me and maybe make me cry,
You can penetrate my body and twist up my insides.

But if you can never justify why you feel this way towards me look
inside yourself so true,
Because I have no problem, it's probably just you.
Have you ever stop to think what you do to me?
Have you ever seen someone cry so much you can't believe,
I know how that person feels because that person is me.

Have you ever thought to get to know me then make judgements,
Why do you put me through such torments?
I know I can show you my caring heart and my lovely personality,
I am a nice person believe me.

But if you are so fickle and think I am not today's sterotype,
Or see something you don't like,
Go away and think some more,
How many other hearts you arrogence has torn?

I may be a victim of modern times,
But I know I have a personality that shines,
I know I am a good person and that hurts,
That people look at the outside and judge first.
I know some people out there may understand,
But I want people to take me for who I am.
