In that timeless moment, twixt
darkness and dusk, I watch how lights
of a distant town saturate the sky
with a peach ice-cream sundae glow...
seeps into a million lives;
a down-and-out settles on a bench
tucked up with a ‘Page Three Girl’,
a man pours himself a beer...
a woman sews beneath a lamp,
and somewhere, a dog barks
and a baby cries
and I sit and write this poem
for the one who squeezes the stars
through a telescope’s lens...the one
cups a bee in their hand, stunned
by the cold, and whispers,
‘Live...please, live.’ Wills its wings
unfurl on its puffed up daffodil fur;
the one – bends into evening –
softly sprinkles moon-dust,
on a lover’s eyes.

So many wonderful observations in this poem Tina,
I couldn't pick out my favourite, as the poem in
its self was beautiful, but I did really love that
last stanza, 'really stunning.'
Hope you enjoy your Sunday.
Jenny.

Some lines take you to a moment and emotion, this is succinct and wonderful.
