Cool For Kittens in Spring

In our neighbourhood so feline

time to gaze at Spring sunshine,

for as on my journey I must go

with gently swaying to and fro,

 

comfy sitting here in your pocket

like a plug that fits inside a socket,

mingling with your sweet wrapping

sherbet flavoured...fizzy happening,

 

with my pink coloured ears

a button shape for a nose,

I'll be so very quiet here

unless I see them crows,

 

but you know this feline kitten

is far too lazy to be smitten,

cause I do enjoy this motion

it's like being on the ocean,

 

I promise I won't bother you

just hanging to enjoy the view,

let the birds fly about in Spring,

cause I'm a kitten doing my thing.

Can just see that little kitten peeping out at the big, wide world outside.  A bit like a baby kangaroo would feel, I guesssmiley

Hi there Bee,

many thanks for reading. No I don't have a new kitten, but I was on the internet looking at pictures and saw this little kitten inside a pocket and this poem just came from the picture which was so sweet.

I could feel the soothing sway and comfortable confinement. Made me realise why babies like to be carried about, the warmth, the heart-beat, and the motion – and for that even a ride in a car is soothing to a fractious baby! Rhiannon

you are so right about babies getting comfort from being carried and comforted, I used to carry my son close to my chest when he was a baby, I would hardly hear a cry from him, he was such a good baby.
