The wind stripped the petals of dandelions
The rain poured from a burst cloud
The branches on trees were wrestling each other
Leaves were flying to the moon
The crack of a broken branch
Reading its own last rites
Huddled folk caught short
Lightning zig zagging across a sky
That was as furious as a bull
Tethered to a fence
People looking for refuge
From the deluge
But nature wasn't finished
Flood, natures blood
Wanted more
The weather report
Had lied
The devil wanted flesh
There was silence
The frenzy was over
Up came the sun
And a butterly on a clover

You capture the power of the storm perfectly. Loved the ending; so whimsical with the butterfly on a clover.
