Of all the things I’ve never said
And all the books I’ve never read
I kept all me thoughts to myself
They’re all sitting upon my shelf
The things I see are often foes
But only when my eyes are closed
The letters I wrote were never sent
And all the money I never spent
For I was often ragged and broke
I hid my pain and never spoke
I was never one to brag and boast
But you should never listen to a ghost.
