Darkness

This thick dark tunnel is around me,
but I can see specs of light & hope
my heart is familiar with this Light
but the darkness is so heavy
it tears my mind and my flesh to pieces
the Light that my heart knows is
swallowing the darkness
my suicidal depression is lifting
its flaming claws are being pulled
violently from my flesh
paralyzing fear is no more
A new feeling arises called Peace
Unshackled by the Light of the World...

light at the end of the tunnel.

this is very powerful, in particular the destructive nature of depression that can tear minds flesh into pieces.

Welcome to AbcTales.
Enjoyed the poem, such a lot seem
suffer depression om different forms in their lives,
something whatever stems it off, busy you are and more things one can try, sometimes great help to.
So right "I am the light of the world" he said "who ever comes to me shall not live in darkness". I have it 2nd hand picture cheap from a market, now on my wall, so cheap daughter found when young I asked her to look, all done up in paper and a bow, thought it would be on horses she loved then no! "The light of the world".
Thankyou
