Where does the little hedgehog go?

Where does the little hedgehog go
in time of falling leaves and snow?
All through November he will quest
for sturdy things to build a nest
like grass and bracken; reeds and straw
to keep him warm till winter thaws
and there sleeps, safe and snug, until
Spring Sun unfolds its golden quills.
