To Bite Hearts black
She played with fire; he feared the flame,
Yet still they danced the same old game.
She longed for touch; he feared the cost -
They risked it all, and both were lost.
He claimed her love, then broke the trust,
He blurred the line of need and lust.
She sought a truth he would not give -
He lied to feel, she lied to live.
Accused, he cried, “It wasn’t me!”
He blamed her for his cruelty.
But guilt, when weighed, was not in gold -
It pressed on hearts, and left them cold.
She took the bait- his crafted snare -
A trap disguised as love laid bare.
Confusion bled where reason fled,
And garbled thoughts turned passion red.
He sought to own what could not stay,
To prove her wrong, to have his way.
But grief became the only prize
For love built out of broken lies.
She bit through layers: no and yes,
Through silences he won’t confess.
And in the end, no answer came -
Just echo, shadow, doubt, and shame.
To bite hearts black is what we do
When longing warps what once was true.
We ask for grace, we beg, repent -
But lose the self we never meant.
She went to walk for long time strides
Empowered by so strong a thought.
Despite her loss and absent heights
Her spirits won, her devils caught.
