Keeping the Fifth They say I cain eat anythang I want but I aint like the other bears in this heah alley. I think 'bout tellin' 'em I be 'shamed to meet the Lord and my belly swollen with food, but in the end I aint say nothin'. The growler in the next cell eatin' now and even through the thick walls I heah him plain - chewin', guzzlin', swallowin'. He got a steak so big it hang off the plate both sides. I seen it. Separate dishes of cream potatoes, spinach, onions an' fresh cornbread too. When he done scrape the plate fo' the las' time they gonna bring him cake but to my mind jest aint no purpose. One minute past midnight he jest as dead as me.
