Pansies in the snow

Pretty pansies in the snow;
happy faces all aglow.
Winter's when they show the mettle
of their brightly mottled petals.

I should be as bright as they
on this chilly winter day.
Though snow falls down, and up it piles,
I’ll turn my frown into a smile.

Very cheerful, enjoyed it. Think the comma in the second last line might be in the wrong place, maybe before "and"

Thanks, Florian. I'm always on the look out for symbols or ideas that are underused, ignored or forgotten and I never see Pansies on modern day Christmas cards but they appear on some old victorian cards as a symbol of winter. Glad you enjoyed it.
