Synthesis --
through holes of mind
stars
rain down
butterfly-style
and don on
the colors of snowflakes,
Christ
came down the airs
and filled the pleroma
with spiritual tension --
all spirit is the result of tension.
one eats Christ
and he becomes a part of us
within mind and heart
localized in the superego
but there's the threat
his all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-good
nature
seeks to destroy the id and ego,
God is either not all-powerful
or all-good or
he gives freedom to us as Grace --
a tool of salvation and choice
so he forgoes all-powerfulness.
In one of his temptations, he
rejects political power over all the nations
of all time.
Is the forgoing of that power
what gives us freedom?
Or is our freedom illusory?
Even ardent existentialists like Sartre
studied the arch-enemies of his philosopy --
Marx, Freud -- both determinists
one historical, the other, evolutionary.
What is freedom? The freedom to be
or the freedom to choose and are
our choices simply between traditions?
If so, we are determined by a need for Immortality.
