the blooming of flowers

budding of broccoli from stalk

the annular fortification of oaks

your trunk growing stronger

fuelled by fertiliser unknown yet potent

you are destined to grow

The call is made many times

it falls on both hearing and deaf

forever cycling its hope

you will heed

you will act

your dreams you will follow

as you carve your life into oak

green shoots meshing with bark

creating your new path

till up the beanstalk you will climb

with will to confront giants

you fight

and clearly win

because this is your life

no one else's

and you made it happen

at your pace
