Monochrome thoughts,

technicolour dreams,

The silver screen has taught

what life really seems.

 

it hasn't uncovered what anything means,

it has blurted and flirted and toyed with the mind

until seeing in colour is left for the night

when there is no distraction, no worry to find

dead to the world and yet so alive.
