Handle With Care -
by Paul McCann
.
On the fringe , on the street ,
trying to get back on your feet .
On a binge , on your todd ,
you call out ; for the love of God .
On the stinge , on the tap ,
for some spare change to go and shop .
On the lend , can't depend
on making both ends meet these days .
On the mend , my old friend ,
I'm trying hard to change my ways .
On this end , right side up .
Handle me with care , as it says .

Wonderful rhythm, conveying
Wonderful rhythm, conveying the careless hustle and bustle we are all surrounded by, and then those last two lines, with their heartfelt plea. I wondered about more of a gap between the first six lines and the second group, as the rhyming scheme, and therefore the rhythm, changes here? Just a thought. I enjoyed it a lot.

A really attention grabbing
