these are merely

symbols

True, thesedays for some life is all about showing, social media is full of 'badges'. It's easier to distract yourself by making a show of things and then you can tell yourself that you've done something good.

the 'pile on' phenomenon on social media is just awful. Perhaps because we feel so powerless, we pull on the black shirt, red flag, keffiyah or whatever and rant at the other. We had it all explained by Eric. We're all living on 1984 Farm. Thanks for reading x
