in October

soaks up my

spirit

as falling leaves

 

unmask

the armour of

maple trees

in the sunlight

 

and I gasp in awe

at the

tumbling array

of shapes

and splendour.

 

Such a season

such a

delight that

only an Autumn

can be.

Beautiful but what is the "red" is it the maple leaves I don't think we really have them here?

Yes, it is from the maple leaf, about five shades of red. So awesome when mixed with about five shades of yellow. Nova Scotia has a zillion maple trees, while Alberta has none, so they get no red during autumn only yellow. Interesting, eh?
