A Christmas to Remember

Blue ice reflected the moon’s light.
His hand warmed hers as Christmas snow fell gently down around them, but not as gently as his kiss upon her lips.
Starlight lit the clear night but dimmed to the sparkle in her eyes when he whispered, I love you.
Winter’s song whistled in the wind but her heart sang louder, joyfully louder, giving back his words with equal fervor.
To be young, to be in love, to be loved was a precious gift they shared.
Her future in his eyes and his in hers, their footsteps in the snow partnered as they walked along the snowy streets together, engaged, in love, on this magical Christmas night.
The quiet, silent evening felt timeless and time filled and would forevermore hold her most cherished memory.
