The Golden Age

Gilded by guilt,
or perhaps just blame,
"what a time it is,
a time it is,
a time for listening",
Paul almost sings -
and I might believe it,
but for the sight
of so many fingers
in so many ears
and so many pies.
We tap-tap-tap
on the keyboard,
our minds tap-dancing
around the truth,
in pursuit of the sensational.
And we find it.
And this lie leads to that one,
and another one,
and the one after that.
Until we are 75% infected
with that dangerous thing
“The Tinfoil Truth”.
“We are living in a golden age of ignorance.” Robert N. Proctor, American historian.

There is plenty of tinfoil
There is plenty of tinfoil truth about just now. Sadly.
