A little prayer because you believe

In a God is merciful and kind

But I don’t believe in anything in that kind

 

I don’t believe in a God

He doesn’t believe in me

Puts Obstacles in my way

And shift the goal posts every other day

 

I’d like an invisible friend 

Who make things plain

Get rid of the confusion

And then the pain

 

I’m tired and frustrated

I’d like a change of luck

Carrying everything on my own

Like a heavy duty truck

 

But I don’t believe in such a God 

Only see the hand of the powerful

And the world is turning odd

I'd like an invisible frend too, and sometimes I think I do.

I liked this a lot. I do believe in God - but those obstacles are still there! I hate it when people say you make your own luck because you don't. Networking parents make their children's luck. I don't think God's a networker. I liked the rhythm of this and the straightforwardness.
