A Frustration of Events

When power’s electric-might
fails there truly is
a taste of mystery in the darkness
as fiery eyes lurk
a wily gray
cat with lynx ancestry
hunts & haunts – mice beware
in the woodsy back yard.
Power’s still out not
enough flashlights
to share-
followed by tripping
banging into chairs & other
reality issues.
Electricity is a friend
always there
except when it isn’t-
come back on
Please.
