The rotten Republican Party, rotted from the inside by the lure of money and the threat of removing financial support had basically been bought out eight years before. After Trump’s two impeachments, one for encouraging and directing the riot which stormed the Capitol Building on 6^th of January 2021 and the other(?) Neither impeachment had been acted upon by the Republicans, who could have prevented their erstwhile leader and godfather from regaining his candidacy for the 2024 campaign, so the Democrats were left unsupported in these attempts to restrain or remove this Presidential candidate, and amazingly he got in again as leader of the Republican Party without any significant opposition. Many thought he could bring Republican ambitions back to life and actually change America. What many of them did not appreciate was just how much he and his closer political advisers and supporters would seek to change America.
