Whatever the British weather …

Whether the weather is hot,
or whether the weather be cold,
whether the weather suit me
or whether it’s not what I want:
whatever the weather
we’ll weather the weather
together …
some blether and blather,
discuss, even fuss –
will tomorrow
be windy or wild?
misty or mild?
warm or storm,
even thunder
we wonder? …
sweat, or shiver,
shorts or jumper …
desires and dreams?
but we’re spared the extremes
and provided with rain
for the grain.

I thought I had posted this, though slightly different, a number of years ago, but I couldn't see it, so worked on it a little more

Some great word play and, as
Some great word play and, as ever, all done with your trademark rhythm, Rhiannon.
The poem has a beat all of its own.
Very skilfully done.

Great poem and the dedication of the poet is amazing!
Love the poem. I have been an occasional visitor of this forum over the years (I joined abctales in 2012) but have made only sporadic appearances over the years yet Rhiannon has been the consistent voice I have seen here since that time. This speaks about how dedicated she is to the art of writing. Wish I could be as disciplined and dedicated as her. I look forward to reading more writing from you.
