He’d been banned from watching TV
for being very rude.
They watched him sulky, angry
on imagined injuries brood.
“I’ll run away! that’ll teach them!
They’ll be sorry when I’m gone!
I’ll hide away in the park, and then
they’ll know that they were wrong!”
The afternoon passed slowly;
at 5 o’clock he felt
a gnawing, empty tummy,
so hollow under his belt.
His footsteps, quite unconsciously
turned back towards his home –
the magnetic pull of thoughts of tea
pulled strongly, calling, ‘Come!’.

That's a dramatic tale told
That's a dramatic tale told in poetic form.
The energy transmits so effectively through verse.
Nicely done, Rhiannon.
