Storm!

Wild wind shakes,
fence shudders, breaks;
huge waves pounding
boat battered,
on rocks grounding,
thrown and shattered;
wails of wind resounding;
suddenly rain pouring, lashing,
bashing, pushing trees crashing,
cables, cars crushing;
shelter
listen…
abruptly all still
quiet, peace,
rushing roarings cease …
sleep …
In the morning
sunshine sprinkles sparkles
on the lawn.
