Any fool finds certainty

The wise finds only dismay

That strange familiar shape

Times are hard.

Let’s hate

Chinkies Pakis, Eastern Europeans

Boat people and by any means

Close borders

Stop giving ground

Leavening all prejudiced found

Bend knee to the great lie

That doesn’t ask why

So many are poor

Our patriotic duty not to care

On the seventh day—

Worship at our altar

That’s what the rich say

Hate more and more

We’ll give you sway

To regurgitate our words

Our media and images too

Creating a human zoo

Picks our living world clean

Leaves us with scrawled signs

Look to the sky and oceans too

The next apocalypse is on time
