Whiling away the days in those dark cafes
While outside on the street sad-eyed men shuffle drunkenly
'Bin Laden lives in E1'
The faded graffiti proclaims
And if I look closely I can still make out your name beneath the stains on the brick wall
You taught me to stop and look at the rain
Making puzzles in puddles, dripping dreams into my brain
That old place is gone now
But my dreams still remain

I like this. Short, yes, but
I like this. Short, yes, but packed with punch. Favourite line is "You taught me to stop and look at the rain."
