Life goes on (without me)
I sit and stare out the window
Watch as they go by,
Running errands
Living their lives
Laughter echoes in
Joy, love and friendship
Jealousy flares sometimes
But I can’t look away
I want to walk out the door
To join the world again
To love and be loved
But my time has long since passed
A stranger to the world I am
An alien to those beyond the glass
The wolf driven from his pack long since
Life goes on (without me)

Hi Darkenwolf,
I think when your sat at a computer, it can
sometimes feel like the world is carrying on
without you, especially when you get carried
away in your own little world of writing.
Good poem.
Is this poem about someone with that disease,
where they are afraid to go out?
Jenny.

Hi darkenwolf,
There's nothing wrong with being a loner, sometimes
it's good not to be to reliant on other people,
because they can let you down.
Would'nt you agree?
Jenny.
P.S. Believe it or not, I am and I am quite happy.

Getting lots of Donnie Darko vibes - but for me that's a good thing ;) (love that film!) Good for you for standing up for yourself with your teacher and I really love this poem!
