The Greatest Nation on Earth!
the Policeman of the world!
Leader of the free world!
but the truth is now far from the legend.

Where the mafia used to pay the police to look the other way while their people smuggled alchohol or drugs into the country,
now the central position of order and decency is taken up by the Arch Con Man,
the greatest that ever lived!
He has even managed to buy the votes of congressmen and women,
and voters counts may well have been rigged, we would not put it past him.
How else did such a con artist manage to ascend the highest position of Trust in the land?
Tricky Dicky had nothing on this man and his cronies.
The Party of Abraham Lincoln, perhaps a bit of a dictator himself?
The Party has now embraced a leader who seems to want to tear down the Federal State and give the States their right to do what they determine is right for their own people? (with no federal funding?)
Will they bring back slavery?
Will they allow secession?
Andrew Jackson was a raw barbarian of the backwoods,
subverting the Republic to drive the friendly Cherokee nation from their lands (and many others) in an act of ethnic cleansing that even Satan Netanyahu, and even the Zionists nemesis Adolf Hitler would have been proud of in their drives for lebensraum.
Go West Young Man and drive the savage natives into hell.
Take all their lands and make the greedy white man supreme!

Send the recent migrants back to their hell, or make a new hell in El Salvador.
The Arch Con Man wants Greenland,
He wants the Panama Canal,
He wants Canada!
Where is the salvation of all peoples?
Is America once again to be managed for the benefit of the few?
The warrior conquistadors, who managed to enslave the world for a while, are back!

I think it's predominantly people who live there that call it the greatest nation on earth. The rest of us can see through the ever thinning walls of their bubble. Even before Trump arrived on the scene it was a country that had issues with its civil rights at home and its expansionist foreign policy.

I recently read somewhere that since the USA was founded in 1776, it has been at war with some country or other for 222 years. That's almost 90% of the time it has existed.

You have perfectly understood the point of my poem, and added some Great (not so!) facts! That is astounding, that the US has been at war with someone or other for 90% of its existance! I am not going to check that right now, but if we include the uncivil/Civil War against itself, the many wars against the Sioux, the Cheyenne, the Apaches, the Sauk Fox, the Mexicans, the Spanish, Britain (again! 1812), so many tribes, Vietnam, and frequent invasions of Latin American countries to impose, protect suitable regimes, we are more than starting to get there! I suppose some of that was partly its role as the policeman of the world, and defender against communism, some of which could be understood and supported perhaps. Recently under Trump, whatever justification and 'fair' authority it might have had seems to have diminished further if they get involved in anything else!?

Yes, I suppose Trump is in the line of American history and corruption, and of greed and unrestrained capitalism and monopolism, but indeed, it is amazing that he has managed to persuade enough people, and enough of the people and politicians that counted, to fall in behind him for a second time! (Although he does seem a lot worse, even than last time!)
