Don’t Stop The Rain From Falling
By Paul McCann
I’m like the rain inside a cloud, that wants to fall upon the crowd ,
who talk so loud and walk so proud , but the thunder said you’re not allowed .
As the thunder hit the ground , humble tongues made the sound ,
that softly echoed all around , when will the rain come falling down .
Oh what a happy day , if only I could have my way
and wash away the things they say and make all the dark clouds go away .
I wonder if the wind that blows could open minds that have been closed
and change the angry words of those into gentle words of love ,
Who knows ?
Don’t stop the rain from falling , let it be blown by the wind everywhere ,
See them bow their heads and run for shelter from the storm out there .
.

If I am interpreting this
If I am interpreting this correctly- I feel the cleansing in that rainfall.I hear the protests in that thunder and the winds become the winds of needed change. I loved your using metaphors of nature in this poem. Very well written and it is a poem I will read again.-Thanks for sharning.
