I Miss My Love Today

I miss my love today , she is far away from me

in another country across the South China sea   .

The pandemic has taken all my ability

To travel over there with her

where I want to be  .

.My life’s turned upside down

In a place where time stands still

My thoughts are like a storm

turning around a windmill .

I see her face , I can almost hear her calling me.

I miss my love today , isolated we must be ,

locked up by a pandemic that’s thrown away the key .

I cannot hold her close , so I send my love to her

From here where I am to some hotel room over there .

Its like being imprisoned and held against my will
I am in  an empty place that only love can fill .
