The Man Who Ran Out Of Time

When his final hour came and he lay on the bed , he started thinking of  things that he did and said .

The grim reaper came in and waited in the room , 

“Your times up “

he said  

“ It will all be over soon .“

The man on the bed said , 

“I knew this day would come and I’m sorry for all the bad things I’ve done .“

The grim reaper said ,

“ That’s what they all say you know . Don’t tell me you’re sorry .

 Come now , we have to go .“

The man replied 

“ Give me a little bit more time . 

I took too many things from others that weren’t mine and I need to give them all back before we go . “

With a shake of his head the grim

reaper said 

“No “

The man pleaded and said ,

“Please give  me one more day and then you can  come back and take me away .“

“So you want one more day “

The man got on his knees .

and begged the grim reaper saying 

“ One more day please “

“When death comes knocking there’s no one who can say no “ 

Then the grim reaper took his hand and said .

“Lets go “
