Our Little Table Came Home

A table handmade and crafted with a Shaker like design 
by a young tradesman there for sure .
I think that something's  are beyond teaching .
Like the desire  to make functional furniture . 

Each piece of furniture has its own story .
From the seedling  to the tree that was cut down . 
Then the timber transported and taken to a craftsman's workshop on the outskirts of town .

Sections were measured and cut , 
jointed and sandpapered , then put together methodically .
Learning the skills with woodworking and adding a special touch called originality . 

A finished piece of well made furniture stands proud anywhere and is a delight to own .
