A Restaurant With Good Taste

In this little Filipino restaurant 

44 years old ,

There was an atmosphere

with stories begging to be told ,

I had a look around the room  

from the ceiling  to the floor .

So many things were presented .

So I started to look for more .

There was a cobweb on the ceiling

almost ready to fall ,

There were light fittings missing 

and paint  was flaking on the wall .

Lots of people started to arrive 

and they all took a seat . 

Then some hot pans with food

were brought and we all started  to eat .

I thought ,

It’s not about the decor

so it must be the food,

and sure enough I was right .

Everything I tasted was good .

I imagined all of the people

Who had eat there before .

Like the lovers and the tourists   

and those on  blind dates , and more .

Families , friends  , workers ,’

school students

and randoms dropping by .

Some people saying hello ,

or some leaving  saying goodbye .

A multitude of people  

who had come here to have some food 

and no one cared for the decor ,

because the food is so good .
