Jimmy was a Gypsy , Oh ,

he’d play old songs you’d never know

for all the people having do’s ,

Jimmy would unstick their shoes .

Reels up , heels up , off we go

Dancing with the Gypsy ,

Oh tinkers m drinkers , all are we

Singing with the wild Gypsy.

Jimmy played that faddle , Oh

till smoke  came rising from his  bow

Jimmy stood up on his own

singing through a microphone .

Dancing with the Gypsy ,

Oh tinkers m drinkers , all are we

Singing with the wild Gypsy.

Jimmy was a travelling man,

happy in a caravan .

Some say there’s no better man ,

Than the wild Gypsy from Ireland .
