Another Station story!

Taking my son to a composers’ concert,
in London, ran late.
On the underground, need to change:
Hurry to the door,
I jump out,
but son fails to.
Doors shut
train moves off.
Contact station staff
who phone next station.
Someone on the train sees
the situation –
at the next stop
he introduces the lad
to a station official.
Eventually he gets a train back
and reunited.
Very late returning home.
Explanations to waiting father!
I think hearing of this incident
stimulated a friend
to insist her young daughter
stood with her, hand in hand, to
jump together simultaneously
out of the train!

Lost?
A similar story, I was a small kid primary school I got on a bus how the hell I don't know, there was a queue and for some reason I stood and got in and landed up inside the bus. Was so worried asked that bus driver a dozen times if the bus goes to Thornwoods. That bus driver was so kind he dropped me off right in front of our house.
Meanwhile my people were worried sick searched the whole school were so relieved to find me waiting at home sitting on the bench bawling my eyes out.
All the best, enjoying your stories! Tom

Your stories about trains,
Your stories about trains, while sounding really scary for you at the time, me reading them now gives me such a sense of reassurance, the kindness of others. It is so good to be reminded that however big and anonymous a city, it is made of people who share humanity's best traits
