Bringsty Common, again

… and another spring first! 31/1/25
Not such a bright day as had been forecast
but fresh air and a three-dimensional walk with views
– Malvern Hills as a backdrop.
Slush and slither (-oops!)
frequent patches of squelchy mud and sinking leaf mulch
(oh, a field at the beginning with
a shaky newborn lamb, or two.)
Shortish circle walk up and down
and up and down with views in different directions.
In the woods clumps of snowdrops
bursting through the leaf litter.
Noisy farmyard somewhere nearby:
cockerel, hens, dogs (and maybe geese) in agitated chorus;
(reminded me of a Welsh children’s song when I was young
of the farmyard animals having a meeting in uproar
as they realised Christmas feasting was approaching
and they prepared to flee);
later road hum as draw back to the carpark.

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
those views must have been worth trudging through all that slush and squelch. I can imagine the air would have been so fresh and left you with rosy cheeks. This time of the year is a pleasure to be out there when you're wrapped up warm.
Lovely piece of writing.
Jenny.

I can feel the gusts of fresh
I can feel the gusts of fresh breeze in my lungs.
Another wonderful ramble with you, Rhiannon. More gorgeous pics, too!
[Think there's a typo in that final line? "...as drawr back to the carpark.]
