Glasses and Glasses …

We took them to the Children’s Performing Arts Festival.
The six-year old was to recite, 'Daddy Fell Into the Pond' by Alfred Noyes.
The eight year old was to recite 'Child’s Song In Spring' by Edith Nesbit.
A lovely venue at the Race Course – views across the town to the hill.
As we entered the little building where they were (amongst many others) to recite
the bespectacled, receetly-reading-well six-year old suddenly said to me,
‘Why does it say “No glasses beyond this Point”'.
At first I thought they meant not to bring drinking glasses in,
but later realised, part of this building sold drinks on Race Days,
so it was a warning not take your drink glasses out.
But the youngster conscious of her glasses on her nose thought…
(probably didn’t know the word ‘spectacles’)!

:0) I was thinking, oh no, she must have been so scared, till I read : "'You adults better sort out this problem' look on her face". She sounds a strong willed character :0)
