    The Rainmaker
watches
with delight in his eyes-
spurts of moisture erupting
from his fingertips
shadows evaporating as
sun begins its
glow.
Clouds wrestle for a
little space
& rain pours with
songs of joy.
Rainmaker smiles
as water fills streams
fields & pastures-
somewhere in this
arid region a
farmer is on his
knees.
