Remembering Tiger 27 (ish) / 05/2020 - 29/07/2026

I don't have a reason to get up early anymore,
No reason to leave the side gate open for you to start your dawnlight prowl.
No reason to hide my toes or let you hunt the bed monster beneath your velvet paws.
No more fingers to chew
no more yoghurt from my bowl.
No more stolen heads of broccoli, steamed, that you adored.
No more zoomies,
No more things pushed off the table;
sometimes expensive, sometimes breakable, sometimes lost and never found.
You are gone now little Tiger.
A hole left in our world,
Never swiped or scratched or bit, even when the hunter mode took over.
You hated to be left behind; kept out of something, your curiosity never sated.
Sleep well our little heroine, the queen of pavement and road,
With your tabby stripes and Ziggy slash of ginger - we thank you for the joy you brought,
the chaos and the worry every time you left our door.
that worry now is over and you are resting amid the stars.
