That’s what we all think of you.
How you disliked that song, that tune.
A cringe, with a twinkle in your eye,
If it was sung as we went by.

Always your prime lady
Our organised Nanny.
Next in line, “Pet”,
Your daughters Kate and Janet.

“Mischief” and “Cheeky”,
The nicknames you used freely,
For your grand-daughters
You loved to tease so dearly.

After your 5 grand-daughters
Came your precious doggies:
Like Titch, Sandy,
Zeus and Penny.

Sausages on the braai,
Anything to be outside,
Alternatively a turkey sandwich
With a beer on the side.

Ever the quiet support,
With a mischievous twinkling eye,
Enjoying your Guinness
And Bells Whiskey on the side.

Never keen for a photo,
Never keen on a fuss,
Just a Fab Granddad
With Love for everyone of us.

May God’s peace have set you free,
Enjoy your rest in heaven,
