You need a Kindle –
she said
as I sat there
in her chair
savouring
the moment...
Pearls
of rain on the window
the smell
of wet dog at my feet
the sound
of Agapanthus
petals, the colour
of thunder,
dropping
from a vase
running
my finger down
the spine of a book
waking
sleeping spirits.
Do I?
I said.
